What an honor to do makeup for a friend’s wedding. We decided to incorporate some gold, muave, and beige in her natural makeup look. The inspiration came from one of Keira Knightley’s makeup look. The foundation I used was MAC Face and Body in N1. For her eyes, I used MAC Vanilla, Omega, Wedge, Woodwink, and Shroom. Ardell False Lashes in 110 was used for the eyes. I contoured with NARS Laguna and highlighted with Hourglass Luminous Light in Ambient. A light dusting of La Femme blush in Mocha, Dusty Rose, and Crystal Cafe complimented her lips. I finished the look with NYX Citrine lipliner and NYX Smokey Look lipgloss. Her face was set with Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. What a beautiful bride!

Canadian Guests
25 MayThese two lovely sisters traveled all the way from Canada to celebrate a cousin’s wedding. They rarely wear makeup, so when they asked me to do their makeup I was thrilled. Both sisters are wearing similar colors of eyeshadow. MAC Shroom, Wedge, Expresso, Samoa Silk, and Woodwink were used for the eyes. MAC Warm Soul was used for the blush and NYX Beige and Smokey Look were used for the lips.
Cirque de L’Amour
25 MayIt was a pleasure to do a wedding makeup session for a lovely bride. Her wedding theme was Cirque de L’Amour, which tied in the colors of purple, teal, and silver. Feathers, sparkles, and flower orgami accented the finishing touches. For the blushing bride, the eyeshadows used were MAC deep burgundy (cranberry), purple (sketch), silver (silver ring), and a highlight of Shroom. The cheeks and lips were kept at a coral pink color.
Gray Sparkle
25 MayBeing a bridesmaid can be glamorous and fun. For this bridesmaid, we had a great time doing a smokey gray makeup look. For her eyeshadow, I used MAC Shroom for the base, Silver Ring, and Print for the crease. Cheeks and lips were kept simple with MAC Warm Soul blush and NYX Pink Rose lipgloss. She was very happy with her sultry smokey look.
My New Business Design
21 MayI am super excited to share my new logo design that will be printed on my t-shirts and makeup chair. I will wear this design proudly when doing my makeup events. It’s exciting to know that my business has grown slowly, but surely in the last couple years.
Big shout out to Focus Daily for their creative t-shirt design ideas. Thanks guys!!!
Hot Mama
1 MayJust because you’re the mother of the bride doesn’t mean you can’t steal the show. I gave this mama one hot look. I kept to the color scheme of the bride. For the eye shadow I used sushi flower pink, deep purple, and a charcoal black eyeliner. For the cheeks, I dusted a light coat of coral and dusty rose. For the lips, I used a spiced liner paired with a beige deep rose lipstick. Her husband was happy with her makeup look. They made an adorable couple at the wedding!
Magenta Orchid Wedding
1 MayMagenta Orchids was the focus to this makeup look. The bride wore a lovely white sweetheart dress decorated with magenta and yellow flowers. She wanted a natural look that would compliment her dress colors. For her eyes, I kept to the cool colors of a soft pink, deep purple, and a hint of shimmery beige. For the cheeks, I used a light dusty rose color. For the lips, a spice liner paired with a deep beige rose lipstick color completed the look.
After the wedding event, the bride stated: “I rarely wear makeup. That was my 1st time wearimg fake eyelashes, which I didn’t even know I had on by the time the event started. My makeup stayed on well for the 8+ hours with just a touch up of lipstick and the makeup was very comfortable to wear.”
By the way, the bride is selling both her beautiful wedding and dancing dress.

Pretty in Pink
28 AprToday, I had a client who was attending her brother’s wedding. She wanted to have a more bold and smokey look for her eyes. The eyeshadow colors of tangerine, expresso, and carbon black were used to create this look. I kept the blush very naturual with a pink color called Mandarin Red and Crystal Cafe. For the lips, I used a dusty rose lipliner and lipstick. Then, I finished the look with a coral pink lipgloss. In attending her brother’s wedding, she is also one of the bride’s maids. She looked very “Pretty in Pink”.
Feathers and Flowers
22 AprI had the privilege of doing a makeup preview for a May bride. She wanted to have a bold look, but still keep to her natural beauty. Cranberry, deep purples, and greys were used to create the smokey eye look. Corals and pinks were used for the blush and the lips. The feather and flower hair piece really compliments her wedding theme. We had a fun makeup preview day!
